WHEN AN ANGEL FLYS AWAY (by Roger Lehman)
Nothing hurts as much, As when an angel flies away, An angel came into our lives, We assumed it was to stay, A little drop from heaven, Fell into our life, One day it just dropped upon, A husband and a wife
Such a bright little light, It was a kiss from above, This little tiny person, Who knew no hate, only love, They visit for a while, But they never get to stay, They teach us how to love, And then must go away,
But so many of us need help, That an angel’s work is never done, They teach us what they can, And then they must move on, Remember what the angel taught, Don’t stay bitter, don’t stay sad, To know an angel for only a moment, Should leave us eternally glad.
