Born and raised in Chicago, Jim Reid headed west to attend U.S.C.'s prestigious Thornton School of Music not realizing at the time his initial pursuit of jazz performance would later evolve into a passion for what goes on off-stage and behind the scenes. As an accomplished saxophonist for the past 15 years, Mr. Reid has performed and recorded with the likes of Michael Buble, Brian Mcknight, Celine Dion, Jonathan Butler, The Winans, and David Foster, although, his true love is expressed through composing thematic orchestrations, where such influences as John Williams, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, John Powell, James Newton Howard, and Alan Silvestri can be heard...
